Under The Bridge
We often see images of Coconut palms on the beach, very near the water. But a Trachycarpus Fortunei (Windmill palm, or shuro in Japanese)? That’s unusual, since they don’t typically like wet feet. This fellow, found in a suburb of Kawasaki City, is proving that rule wrong. Not only is he in the water and sand of the small city river, he’s under the bridge catching sun only in the early morning or late afternoon. But he looks happy, wouldn’t you agree?
